These Terms govern your access to and use of Project Sunset. By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Project Sunset is a marketplace that connects users. Companions are independent providers; we do not employ, supervise, or control them. We do not provide medical, legal, financial, or clinical services.
No Emergencies: If you or someone else is in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis (including suicidal ideation), call your local emergency number (for example, 911 in the U.S.) or contact a crisis hotline (for example, 988 in the U.S.).
You must be 18+ and legally able to enter contracts. Creating an account for someone else requires lawful authority (for example power of attorney) and proof upon request.
Provide accurate information; keep credentials secure. We may require identity verification and, for Companions, background checks or credentials where applicable and lawful. Passing a check does not guarantee safety or suitability.
Payments are processed by third-party processors. You authorize us to charge your payment method for bookings, hold deposits, fees, taxes, and adjustments (for example, overtime).
Cancellations or refunds follow the policy shown at checkout (for example, flexible, moderate, strict) and any applicable platform fees.
Chargebacks that are fraudulent or abusive may result in account action.
Taxes: Companions are responsible for their own taxes.
You act as an independent contractor and are solely responsible for compliance with laws, permits, and insurance appropriate for non-medical companion work.
No medical, counseling, or legal services unless you are licensed to do so outside the platform and permitted by law (the platform is for non-medical companionship).
You agree to maintain professional boundaries, follow safety guidance, and comply with our Trust and Safety rules, including mandatory reporting obligations where applicable.
You consent to payment processing, background checks (where lawful), and moderation.

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts for violations.
We allow optional sharing of cultural, spiritual, linguistic, and ritual preferences to improve matches. Preferences must not be used to exclude protected groups where prohibited by law. We may moderate or remove discriminatory content or requests.
Companions should not perform clinical care, administer medication, or provide transportation unless separately licensed or insured and permitted by law.
Meetings should occur in safe, agreed locations; use in-app messaging for coordination.
Report concerns via safety@projectsunset.app; we may pause accounts while we review.
The Services and all related IP are owned by us or our licensors. You grant us a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host and display your content solely to operate the Services. You are responsible for the rights to content you upload.
By posting reviews or feedback, you grant us the right to use and display them (with your first name or initial) for product improvement and marketing, subject to moderation.
We are not responsible for third-party sites, tools, or providers even if accessed through the Services.
The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee any match, outcome, or availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, or loss of data. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) amounts paid by you to us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Project Sunset, its affiliates, and personnel from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or law.
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for any violation or risk to users, with or without notice. Sections intended to survive (for example payments due, IP, disclaimers, limits, indemnity, dispute resolution) survive termination.
PLEASE READ: Except where prohibited, any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis under the rules of AAA, with seat in Washington, DC. You waive any right to participate in a class action or jury trial. You may opt out within 30 days by emailing legal@projectsunset.app with “Arbitration Opt-Out” and your account email.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules.
We may update these Terms; we will post the new version and update the Effective Date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
